Allegation of Research Ethics Violations
Jurnal Litbang Polri is committed to upholding scientific integrity and maintaining high ethical standards in all research, publication, and knowledge dissemination processes. As part of our efforts to ensure credible and responsible scholarly communication, we provide a transparent mechanism for reporting suspected violations of research ethics within manuscripts or editorial processes in journals under the auspices of Litbang Polri.
What Constitutes a Violation of Research Ethics?
Research ethics violations include, but are not limited to:
- Plagiarism (using someone else’s work or ideas without proper attribution)
- Data fabrication or manipulation
- Duplicate or redundant publication without appropriate acknowledgment
- Misattribution of authorship
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
- Abuse of research subjects, including violations of ethical consent procedures
How to Report a Violation
Any party—authors, editors, reviewers, or readers—may submit a report of suspected ethical misconduct. The report should include:
- Reporter’s identity (anonymous reports are accepted)
- Title and details of the manuscript or journal involved
- Description of the alleged violation
- Supporting evidence (if available)

Investigation and Follow-up Actions
All reports will be handled objectively and professionally by the Journal Publication Ethics Committee of Jurnal Litbang Polri. Clarification, verification, and follow-up actions will be carried out with respect to confidentiality and the right of response for the reported party.
If a violation is confirmed, potential actions may include:
- Article retraction
- Revocation of publication rights
- Notification to the author’s affiliated institution
- Permanent rejection of submissions from the author(s)
