Archiving Policy

Digital Archiving

Jurnal Litbang Polri, published by [Publisher Name], is committed to the permanent availability and preservation of scientific research, ensuring accessibility by converting and updating digital file formats to meet the latest technological standards. We collaborate with various organizations and maintain our own digital archive.

Local Archive

The digital content archive maintains an advanced local facility to store complete and accurate digital versions of each published article. The current standard format used is .pdf; most files are stored in both formats.
Website Archiving: All electronic content (website, manuscripts, etc.) is stored across three different sources. One server hosts the online content accessible to readers, while copies of the same content are backed up in two additional locations. In the event of a server failure, one of the backup sources can be activated, and the website is expected to be accessible again within 24–36 hours.

System Backup

All publications on [Publisher Name] undergo incremental weekly backups. All journals are built on a cloud computing environment where systems routinely back up applications, databases, and electronic documents.

Self-Archiving

[Publisher Name] supports self-archiving. This system allows and encourages authors to make their research visible and accessible to peers by uploading the final published version of their article to personal or institutional repositories immediately after publication, along with bibliographic details to credit the original publication where necessary.

Indexing

All abstracting/indexing services used by the journal retain key information about each article. Additionally, our journal’s abstracting/indexing services not only archive the article metadata but also the electronic version of the article itself.
