Peer Review Policy
Jurnal Litbang Polri implements a rigorous peer review process as part of its commitment to maintaining high standards of scientific quality and integrity. The review is conducted systematically, objectively, and anonymously to ensure that all published articles meet academic standards, methodological soundness, and relevance to the journal's scope and focus.
Type of Review
This journal applies a double-blind peer review system, in which both the reviewers' and authors' identities are concealed from each other. This policy is intended to prevent bias and ensure objectivity in the assessment of manuscripts.
Review Process Steps
- Initial Screening by the Editor
Submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial team to assess their alignment with the journal’s scope and completeness of administrative requirements. - Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field. - Evaluation by Reviewers
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodology, relevance, clarity of presentation, and scientific contribution. They may also provide suggestions for improvement. - Editorial Decision Based on Review Results
Editorial decisions may include: - Accepted without revisions
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Major revisions required
- Rejected
- Revision by the Author(s)
Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on the feedback from reviewers and editors within a specified timeframe. - Re-evaluation (if necessary)
Manuscripts that undergo major revisions may be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation before a final decision is made.
