Profesionalitas Polri dan Mitigasi Pelanggaran Etik

Law enforcement in Indonesia, carried out by the Indonesian National Police (Polri), has experienced a decline in public trust in law enforcement, characterized by "No Viral, No Justice." The professionalism of Polri members is an absolute prerequisite for law enforcement, public service, and public trust. However, repeated ethical violations have damaged the institution's image. This study aims to analyze the condition of Polri professionalism, the factors causing ethical violations, and the effectiveness of the mitigation carried out. Using a mixed method sequential design approach, the study involved 53,304 respondents from 11 Regional Police through questionnaires and FGDs with Principal Officials and violators. Data analysis used Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The results showed that the social relationship dimension dominated the perception of professionalism (63.22%), while understanding of ethics and organizational culture was low. Internal factors (53.3%) were more dominant as causes of violations, with supervision being a weak point of mitigation (56.46%). Recommendations include educational reform, career development, and internal oversight to strengthen ethical independence and public trust.
